Health Equity Program

The Health Equity program at Clay County Public Health Center was established in 2022, evolving from the Community Development program. The team includes the Health Equity manager, two Community Engagement Specialists, and the Healthy Policy Analyst.

Examples of the ways the Health Equity team gets involved to advance health equity in Clay County:

  • Builds relationships with partner organizations to help support each other's work
  • Regularly hosts community forums to get input from community members on current needs and perspectives
  • Attends community events and festivals to share helpful health information with the community
  • Attends meetings and works with local coalitions
  • Involved with the Northland Health Alliance, including the CHA and CHIP processes
