Board of Health

Responsibilities

The Board of Trustees is responsible for adopting policies for the operation of the Clay County Public Health Center and is also responsible for setting the annual public health tax levy rate. The board is instrumental in designing the strategic plan, implementing public health programs and adopting public health ordinances designed to improve health for all who live, work and visit Clay County.

Board members are elected through a county-wide election unless the available seats are uncontested. Terms are four years long. For election information, please visit the Clay County Board of Election website.

Board members receive no pay or compensation of any kind for their work with Clay County Public Health Center.


Meetings

Board meetings take place at 6 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month. The public is invited to attend these meetings.

These meetings are subject to the Missouri Sunshine Law. Details regarding board meetings, including instructions for addressing the board, can be found in Section Two of the By-Laws of the CCPHC Board of Trustees.

Agendas & Minutes

Agendas are available one week before each meeting. Minutes for each meeting are available the month after.
