The
Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services' WIC program is currently transitioning to an electronic benefit transfer (EBT) system called eWIC. This will allow WIC participants to more easily access food benefits at the grocery store.
The rollout of the eWIC system begins in Clay County on
July 6. Current WIC clients will receive their eWIC card and PIN
(separately) in the mail. This PIN will be used until clients can physically return to the clinic for their next appointment and will then be able to select a new PIN.
