Other Community Resources

  • Mid-Continent Public Library - numerous free reading and educational resources and events + printing, passport and notary services or check out Wi-Fi hotspots, Chromebooks, wellness kits for telehealth appointments and even fishing poles!
  • MU Extension - Offers free resources, publications, online courses and programs to help Missourians learn new skills and get information about farming, health, money, and education.
  • A Turning Point - local organization offering a food pantry, meals, clothes, and education resources.
  • Museums for All - SNAP participants can access museums for free or a reduced cost.

Housing Needs

  • Community Action Agency - support services for low-income residents of Clay, Jackson and Platte counties.
  • Utility Assistance - the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) may be able to help you pay your home energy bills.
  • SmokeFreeHousingMo.org - up-to-date information, resources, and technical assistance to both property owners and residents interested in smokefree housing in Missouri.
  • Sleep in Heavenly Peace - ensuring that no kids sleeps on the floor by providing free bedframes and bedding.
  • Tenant/Landlord Handbook - helpful document from KCMO. Get legal and housing tips, access city and state resources, strengthen landlord‑tenant relationships.
